one morning, dad took me on a bus

we went to the Manchester Museum
there I saw many different animals

at the end, I got to record my impressions down

Aidan - Juicy Watermelon

Watermelon is not my favourite due to the hassle of spitting out seeds. However, watermelon juice is a great alternative for the irresistible refreshment.

first, you need to press down the handle

then, give it a big squeeeeeez

remember to distribute your pressure points evenly

now, pay special attention


and watch it drip


finally, 3 cups of seedless watermelon juice

it was all worth it!

Even though the special effects during the game was rather distracting,
I still managed to finish the hole.

Aidan - Oct 18, 2009 - The Trafford Centre

Since it's almost always grey in Manchester, we have found an indoor paradise.
At the Trafford Centre, Dad taught me how to drive.

Then I took the ride for a spin all by myself.


and there, I found a sphinx.


and then a mini golf course.


Here I am, swinging my club just like Tiger.


What a fun day!


And of course, it all ends with a sweet ice cream cone.

Aidan - Sept 2009 - my life here

It has been a month since we moved to Manchester, UK. We spent the first 2 weeks looking for housing and exploring the city. We stayed at a hotel for the first few weeks and had microwaved meals everyday.


after 3 weeks in the city centre, we expanded our territory to the parks outside of the city. There, we found the right balance between city life and a breath of fresh air.



There is still a long journey ahead of us...


and more exciting explorations to come.


Oh, and the ice cream here is unbeatable

it is still my favourite food.

Where am I??

WOW!! I'm in Thomas-Fantasyland!!!

I had so much fun playing...

...that I didn't even notice my mom sitting in the back!

They also had so many toy cars I could play with!!

I ended the day with a ride on a life-size Thomas train!! What a fantastic second day!
